Hip prosthesis in dwarfism

Summary: 
Osteoarthritis in hip displasia in dwarfism. Custom made Traser cup: 30mm diameter, head of 17mm. Small Wagner stem.

Patient affected by dwarfism. Needs prosthetic hip replacement with custom made prosthesis: Jump-Traser system (Permedica).

Treatment:

bone graft from the femoral head fixed to the superior lateral roof.

Cup fixed with screws - further cancellous bone graft. Absence of anterior and posterior wall

 

 Rigth hip operated former. Treatment of the left hip with the same procedure. The prothesis head has a diameter of 17mm. The cup 30mm diameter.
